Job Overview
Looking Glass's Homeless Youth Services Programs are hiring for on-call relief positions to support adolescents in crisis intervention, outreach, and residential programs.
Responsibilities- Provide culturally informed, high-quality services to clients at the PEER Shelter, Station 7, and New Roads Programs.
- Conduct crisis intervention and create behavior management plans for youth.
- Support the organization’s commitment to equity, anti‑racism, and belonging in all duties.
- Cover street‑outreach shifts, greeting youth at New Roads or Rural drop‑in centers, offering education, prevention, and referral services on issues such as sexual abuse, domestic violence, trafficking, and other homelessness concerns.
- Assist with classroom presentations, keep the drop‑in center clean, and partner with community groups.
Schedule varies and is based on availability.
Pay ranges from $21.10/hour to $27.00/hour depending on location.
- Passion for helping youth and ability to relate to teens from diverse backgrounds, values, and cultures.
- Strong mentoring skills, ability to maintain boundaries, confidentiality, and handle stressful situations.
