Developmental Disabilities Specialist – ONA Assessor

Lane County Developmental Disabilities Services is seeking an ONA Assessor to administer the Oregon Needs Assessment (ONA) for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The assessor will conduct document reviews, face‑to‑face meetings, and interviews with clients, families, service providers, and other community supports.

• Administer the ONA through document review, interview process, and data collection.
• Coordinate with families, advocates, service providers, and other professionals via in‑person, video, telephone, and email.
• Maintain accurate records for each assessment and ensure compliance with county and state regulations.
• Participate in regular supervision, onboarding, and training to stay current on policies and trauma‑informed practices.
• Collaborate with a team of specialists, planners, and support staff to develop individualized service plans.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement and use an equity lens in all interactions.

Training: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: One year working with persons with developmental disabilities, or an equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the required knowledge and abilities.

Applicants must successfully complete a drug screening test and a full background check.

Monday – Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Telework available after an initial training period; subject to regular client meetings in the field.
