In this role, you’ll drive a dump truck (truck and pup, or truck and transfer) to deliver materials such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, or asphalt to various job sites and customers in the area.

WageDOE with potential for overtime.
ShiftPrimarily work 10 hours per day, 5 days per week. Requires additional hours, per DOT regulations, and up to 6 days per week during busy construction season.
Minimum Qualifications- Valid Class A CDL and current interstate DOT medical card.
- Ability to operate manual transmission.
- Safety‑minded professional with good performance, attendance, and punctuality.
- Must pass pre‑employment physical exam and controlled‑substance testing.
- Ability to work overtime, nights, and weekends/holidays as needed.
- Conform to and maintain OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and all other company or state rules and regulations.
- Must have current US authorization to work or ability to obtain before start date.
- Preference given to candidates with prior dump truck driving experience or general commercial driving experience in a construction setting.
- Maintain vehicle clean and orderly inside and out.
- Operate truck safely and efficiently, following its designed parameters to deliver materials to construction and customer sites while obeying applicable laws.
- Monitor gauges during vehicle operation and investigate abnormalities; perform operator maintenance and minor field repairs such as mud flaps and mirror adjustments.
- Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to shop personnel.
- Communicate efficiently with dispatch and follow instructions.
- Check delivery tickets for special instructions and complete them prior to arriving on the job. Ensure proper materials are loaded safely. Obtain required signatures. Record on‑the‑job information on customer delivery invoices.
- Operate trucks on paved and unpaved surfaces, including rough or uneven off‑road conditions.
- Move material as necessary in the performance of the job or as directed.
- Maintain operator logs, time cards, mileage sheets, vehicle repair sheets, and records per company policy and departmental transportation regulations. Use Zonar and Trackit computer systems.
- Before loading, latch tailgate and keep sideboards, trailer tongues, and back of truck free of all materials.
- Be comfortable driving on and off paved roads.
- Assist workforce in other production areas such as shoveling materials on grade and pave projects, running plant loaders, operating rollers, driving water trucks, etc.
- Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
- Complete other tasks and duties as assigned to meet business needs.
