Hurst Electric is seeking a Project Coordinator to support our Project Engineers on commercial electrical construction projects throughout the DFW Metroplex. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented professional to gain hands-on experience in construction project management while building a long-term career in commercial electrical construction.
As part of our hiring process, all candidates are required to complete our Work Traits Survey.
What You'll Do- Support Project Engineers with the coordination of commercial electrical construction projects.
- Prepare and track purchase orders, Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and other project documentation.
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, customers, and field personnel to support project execution.
- Assist with project scheduling, material procurement, and delivery tracking.
- Maintain accurate project files, documentation, and records.
- Monitor project progress and follow up on outstanding action items.
- Assist with meeting coordination, meeting minutes, and project correspondence.
- Help ensure project documentation is organized, accurate, and up to date.
- Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and project priorities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- High attention to detail and the ability to accurately maintain project documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Ability to learn new software and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to learn commercial electrical construction and project management processes.
- Construction Management Experience or knowledge, preferred but not required
- Build a long term career working alongside experienced Project Engineers on commercial and industrial electrical construction projects.
