Customer Care Specialist – Individual Contributor at Cox Automotive. Flexible hybrid work with remote duties. Hourly base pay $16.59 – $24.86 per hour, plus potential commission or incentive compensation.
Primary Duties /Key Responsibilities
- Receive and respond to customer requests via phone, email, chat, and ticketing systems.
- Listen actively and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve standard technical and account‑related issues.
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate internal teams or specialists.
- Document customer interactions, issues, and resolutions in company systems.
- Follow security protocols when accessing customer information.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Support customer education and training as needed.
- Maintain customer relationships through quality service delivery.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- High School Diploma or GED (minimum).
- Generally less than 2 years of customer‑service experience.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to multi‑task and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of computers, internet, and email.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in a contact‑center, metrics‑driven environment.
- Experience working in the automotive industry (preferred).
- Strong communication skills and basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to operate under tight pressure.
- Bilingual English‑Spanish preferred.
- Must pass a pre‑employment drug test.
- At least sixteen hours of paid time off each month.
