Position DetailsTuesday – Friday (10‑hour day shift)
Scope of CareThe role provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to women across all stages of life, including preventive health care, low‑ and high‑risk prenatal/childbirth/postnatal care, menopause care, urogynecology, and gynecologic oncology evaluation and treatment.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with physicians to oversee and coordinate multidisciplinary care for patients, optimizing quality outcomes.
- Review patient charts to assist with diagnosis, treatment, and care management.
- Make appropriate referrals as necessary.
- Monitor guidelines for care management to ensure compliance with JPS Health Network and Acclaim Physician Group standards.
- Provide patient and family education.
- Deliver evidence‑based, compassionate care to improve outcomes and satisfaction scores.
- Maintain a collaborative environment among providers, clinical staff, and support staff.
- Support academic, educational, and research endeavors.
- Participate in Performance Improvement Programs and Peer Review meetings.
- Serve as a community resource.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
1–2 years’ experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Education:
- Completion of a master’s or post‑master’s nursing degree accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
- OR completion of an Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC‑PA) approved program (pre‑2001 programs accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) or an accredited Physician Assistant residency program.
Required Licensure/
Certifications:
- Current certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), National Certification Corp (NCC), American College of Nurse Midwives (ACNM), or National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), or an equivalent body.
- Current licensure to practice as an APRN or Physician Assistant in the state of Texas.
