5G Private Network Test Engineer

Looking for a 5G Private Network Test Engineer - Euless, Texas

No C2C, only W2 candidates

This role focuses on executing detailed test cases, validating private network features, mobility scenarios, and delivering structured reports, logs, and test results to engineering teams. Strong LTE/5G protocol expertise and hands-on RAN/device testing experience are critical.

• Execute test cases to validate features and functions of Verizon private networks
• Support NSA & EP5G private network feature validation
• Validate mobility and handoff scenarios (5G ↔ 4G, Macro ↔ Private)
• Work in staging and pre-production environments
• Provide structured reports, test results, and raw log data
• Validate test cases for partially and fully redundant core environments
• Share daily email status updates and required documentation
• Capture and provide device logs for troubleshooting

• 5–7 years in wireless device and/or network testing
• Strong knowledge of 3
  
  GPP Layer 2 / Layer 3 LTE protocols & IMS SIP protocols
• Experience with 4G LTE and 5G (NSA & SA)
• Experience in mobility testing and handoff validation
• Understanding of multivendor RAN environments and mobility event parameters
• Hands-on experience with:
  QXDM / QCAT, XCAL / XCAT, Wireshark
• Experience working with Samsung & Android devices (debug mode, configuration)
• Familiarity with lab network and vendor infrastructure
