Airline Component Parts (ACP) is an FAA-certified 145 Repair Station in operation since 1994. We specialize in the development of customized repair solutions for high‑value aerospace parts. Our business is currently growing fast, and we are looking for a Design and Manufacturing Engineer to support repairs of commercial and military aircraft.
Job DescriptionAs the Aerospace Repair Development Engineer, you will develop repairs for electrical, mechanical, and electro‑mechanical aircraft parts and assemblies. You will utilize your experience to create solutions where none currently exist. You’ll work with our team on‑site in Euless, TX as well as with colleagues and customers around the world.
Core Responsibilities- Evaluate electrical, mechanical, and electro‑mechanical aircraft assemblies and parts to determine feasibility of a repair.
- Disassemble parts with the intent to repair and restore full functionality.
- Use technical manuals, industry best practices, and knowledge of aircraft systems to create test requirements for repaired components.
- Create repair instructions and perform test repairs to verify.
- Facilitate FAA and/or customer approval of repairs ensuring adherence to customer and FAA guidelines and regulations.
- Assist in setting up new repairs for production.
We are looking for someone with specific experience developing custom repairs.
Required- Experience repairing or manufacturing one or more of the following types of parts:
- Actuator assemblies
- Electrical motors
- Electrical windings (including solenoids, transformers, etc)
- Sensor assemblies
- Small circuit boards
- Torque Motors
- Switch assemblies
- Valve assemblies
- Hands‑on experience in a repair station, machine shop, or other production environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated technical writing experience.
- Punctual, reliable, and works well with team members.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States and a valid driver’s license.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial or military aerospace maintenance.
- A&P License.
- Proficient with Solid Works, AutoCAD, or other design software.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar field.
- Compensation is commensurate with experience; in the range of $80,000 - $110,000 annually.
