Hurst Electric is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to support commercial and industrial electrical construction projects throughout the DFW Metroplex. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects involving electrical design coordination, construction management, budgeting, scheduling, and client communication.
We welcome candidates with varying levels of project management experience within the electrical construction industry. Whether you are growing from a Project Engineer role or already managing projects independently, this position offers a long-term career within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate is organized, motivated, and knowledgeable in commercial and industrial electrical systems, with the ability to coordinate projects from design through completion.
Responsibilities- Support and manage commercial and industrial electrical construction projects from planning through completion
- Assist with or oversee project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Manage project submittals, RFIs, drawings, change orders, and project documentation
- Track project costs and prepare progress billing reports
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, architects, engineers, vendors, and code enforcement agencies
- Serve as a point of contact for project communication and issue resolution
- Work closely with field leadership to help ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget
- Participate in project meetings, jobsite visits, and field coordination activities
- Support electrical system design coordination for low- and medium-voltage systems
- Review electrical drawings, schematics, and construction documents for accuracy and constructability
- Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Con Est, and related software to support project management and documentation
- Ensure work aligns with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and project specifications
- Participate in estimating, proposal development, procurement, and preconstruction planning as needed
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- Equivalent electrical construction industry experience may also be considered
- Experience in electrical construction project management, project engineering, or related roles preferred
- Knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems
- Familiarity with low- and medium-voltage electrical systems
- Understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Con Est, or related software is beneficial
Strong communication, organization, leadership, and customer relation skills - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Construction industry experience is strongly preferred
