. Medical City Dallas is part of HCA Healthcare, a leading healthcare provider. This position is located at the FSED in Garland and is for a CT Technologist (PRN).
As a CT Technologist, you will demonstrate knowledge of all CAT Scan exam protocols, prepare patients, use radiation protection methods, collaborate with the Radiologist, process data, assist physicians during invasive procedures, and assist during codes.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate knowledge of all CAT Scan exam protocols for specific exams.
- Take charge of exam preparations and patient instructions.
- Utilize radiation protection methods consistently and use shielding as necessary.
- Obtain patient history and collaborate with the Radiologist on proper contrast usage.
- Be responsible for the post processing of data.
- Assist the physician as necessary for all invasive procedures to provide best patient care.
- Assist during codes.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
- State Registered Radiologic Technician.
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT).
- Associate Degree.
- Experience at an FSED.
