Join Our TeamMiller Sierra Contractors is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Human Resources Assistant to support our growing Human Resources and Payroll department.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to keep HR operations running efficiently. The Human Resources Assistant will play a key role in onboarding, benefits administration, payroll reconciliation, employee recordkeeping, compliance, and day-to-day administrative support.

What You'll DoAs our Human Resources Assistant, you'll support a variety of HR and payroll functions, including:
- Assist with new hire onboarding and employee orientation preparation
- Maintain employee personnel files and HR documentation
- Prepare employment forms, employment verification letters, and general HR correspondence
- Coordinate background checks, drug screenings, and onboarding documentation
- Update employee records within HRIS and payroll systems
- Assist employees with benefit enrollments, changes, and general benefit questions
- Reconcile monthly insurance carrier invoices against payroll deductions
- Upload weekly payroll and employee census reports to our benefits administrator
- Audit benefit deductions and enrollment records for accuracy
- Assist with annual Open Enrollment activities
- Perform weekly payroll audits and reconciliations before final payroll approval
- Review payroll reports and identify discrepancies for correction
- Compile payroll review files for HR Manager approval
- Assist with internal audits, I-9 documentation, and compliance recordkeeping
- Support special HR projects and administrative initiatives as assigned
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, analytical, and takes pride in producing accurate work.
Qualifications- Administrative Human Resources, payroll, benefits, or office support experience strongly preferred
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Google Sheets, and Word
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets, reports, and reconciliations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required
