Position Mission

Support gas turbine repair operations by fabricating and welding components to precise specifications. The TIG Welder analyzes work orders and technical drawings, executes high-quality welds, and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards to meet manufacturing and repair objectives.

Schedule
  • 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze work orders, blueprints, and completed assemblies to determine welding requirements and appropriate techniques.
  • Fabricate components by cleaning, preparing, cutting, fitting, and TIG welding metal parts.
  • Set up and measure assemblies to ensure dimensional accuracy.
  • Select appropriate welding methods and materials based on project requirements.
  • Inspect and test completed welds to verify quality and conformance to specifications.
  • Document work performed and complete required production and inspection records.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment; troubleshoot issues and coordinate repairs when necessary.
  • Participate in training and skill development activities to enhance welding proficiency.
  • Support overall manufacturing objectives by completing related duties as assigned.
Knowledge / Skills / Qualifications
  • TIG welding experience required (weld test administered prior to employment).
  • Experience in welding and fabrication within industrial or turbine repair environments preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Basic knowledge of welding safety practices and procedures.
  • Experience using power tools and fabrication equipment.
  • Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
  • Dependability and ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Ability to lift and handle materials in a manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
