We are seeking a Manufacturing Production Supervisor to support daily operations within our production environment. This role provides hands‑on leadership for an assigned value stream and partners closely with the Value Stream Manager (VSM) to drive safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency goals.
The ideal candidate is a floor-focused leader who can coach, motivate, and develop team members while ensuring smooth production flow and adherence to standards.
Team Leadership & Production Oversight- Lead daily production activities and provide clear direction to team members
- Conduct daily start-up/line meetings to align on safety, quality, and production goals
- Coach, train, and develop operators to improve performance and skill level
- Monitor work orders, cycle times, and output to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Promote a positive team environment focused on accountability, communication, and collaboration
- Support staffing, scheduling, and workload balancing to meet production demands
- Ensure team members follow work instructions, drawings, and SOPs
- Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, and production efficiency
- Participate in and lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Utilize ERP systems to support production tracking and reporting
- Ensure compliance with company standards, safety rules, and quality requirements
- Support setup and operation of fabrication and composite equipment (saws, presses, routers, mills, etc.)
- Monitor machining processes involving tight tolerances and unique specifications
- Perform and verify in-process inspections using measuring tools
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment using 6S principles
- Ability to work independently and lead with minimal supervision
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
- Ability to adapt to changing production demands
- Intermediate math skills and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
- Experience using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- 2+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
- Technical training or equivalent hands‑on experience strongly preferred
- Experience with ERP systems and continuous improvement practices is a plus
