Manual Machinist

Position Mission

Support the precision repair and refurbishment of industrial gas turbine components by safely and accurately operating manual machine equipment. This role ensures high-quality, dimensionally accurate parts are manufactured to specification, contributing directly to operational reliability, performance, and customer satisfaction within the gas turbine repair facility.

Schedule:

1st

Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

2nd

Shift: Monday-Thursday, 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

* Machine complex, high-precision industrial gas turbine components.

* Operate manual mills and lathes.

* Assist with reverse engineering of parts using CAD software.

* Interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

* Calculate dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring instruments.

* Perform mechanical assembly and disassembly as required.

* Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and safe condition.

* Identify and report defective materials or questionable conditions.

* Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

* Experience in an industrial machining or turbine repair environment preferred.

* Conventional and CNC machining experience on mills and lathes required.

* Wire EDM experience is a plus.

* Knowledge of CAD and ability to assist in reverse engineering parts.

* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
