The Gund Company Inc., a family-owned manufacturer of engineered electrical and mechanical insulation materials, is seeking an Experienced CNC Machine Operator II. In this role, you will set up, operate, and adjust CNC equipment to produce precision components for power generation, industrial equipment, and transportation applications. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, selecting tooling, performing quality checks, and troubleshooting minor issues. You'll work in a safety-first, team-oriented environment with opportunities for continuous improvement, skills growth, and long-term career development.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce precision parts to specification
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to plan machining operations
  • Select, load, and change tooling, fixtures, and materials as required for each job
  • Perform in-process measurements and quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Adjust machine offsets and parameters to maintain tolerances and surface finish requirements
  • Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and program issues to minimize downtime and scrap
  • Follow all safety, 5
  • S, and housekeeping standards in a manufacturing environment
  • Complete production documentation, record part counts, and report issues to supervision
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to improve processes
  • Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives to advance skills
