Account Manager — Ricochet Fuel Distributors About Us

We live our mission and core values every day and are seeking an Account Manager who can represent our full suite of products and services while growing and retaining key customer relationships.

Position Overview

The Account Manager will manage assigned customers and prospects, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded. This role is responsible for retaining and expanding sales, providing timely and accurate customer service, and supporting the Business Development Director and Operations team. Ideal candidates are proactive, organized, and skilled at building long-term relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Retain and grow sales with assigned customers; identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Obtain referrals and generate new business from customers, vendors, and other sources.
  • Provide exceptional customer service: timely communication, accurate information, and practical solutions.
  • Learn and articulate Ricochet’s products and services to customers and prospects.
  • Negotiate sales agreements and ensure customers fully understand terms.
  • Maintain accurate, timely CRM records and follow company procedures for order processing and dispatch coordination.
  • Anticipate customer needs to improve order fulfillment quality.
  • Collect and update credit information for new and existing accounts; assist with collections when needed.
  • Protect company property and handle inventory/property releases with proper documentation.
  • Cross-train delegates, provide backup office support, and assist in areas beyond direct responsibilities when needed.
  • Recommend process improvements and best practices to management.
  • Maintain confidentiality and act in accordance with company policies, mission, and core values.
  • Be available for communication during normal business hours and maintain regular, punctual attendance.
Qualifications
  • Proven success in B2B account management, sales, or customer retention roles.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple accounts.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems and following operational processes.
  • Problem-solver who anticipates customer needs and delivers solutions.
  • Team player willing to support colleagues and step into other roles as necessary.
  • Integrity and professionalism; ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Fuel distribution or logistics industry experience is a plus but not required.
