CPA ​/ Staff Accountant

Overview

The client is seeking a CPA / Staff Accountant to join its accounting and tax practice. This full-time position involves preparing income tax returns for individuals and business entities, assisting with bookkeeping and Quick Books support, and participating in the compilation and review of financial statements.

The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, excellent interpersonal and computer skills, and a willingness to relocate or commute to the Eunice, LA area

• Prepare income tax returns for:
  • Individuals
  • Partnerships
  • Corporations
  • S Corporations
  • Fiduciaries
• Assist bookkeepers and clients with Quick Books.
• Participate in the compilation and review of financial statements.
• Support bookkeeping and general accounting functions.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or currently completing an accounting degree.
• Strong interpersonal and computer skills.
• Willingness to relocate or commute to the Eunice, LA area.

Preferred

• Previous income tax preparation experience.
• Quick Books experience.
• At least 1 year of GAAP-related experience.
• CPA certification or CPA-track candidate.
