API 510 & 570 Inspector

Scope:
Field, pipeline, facility and plant environment.

Schedule:

4 days a week, 10-hour shifts, opportunities for overtime

• Assist in developing, revising and maintaining SOPs for piping and pressure vessel inspections and testing.
• Prepare quotes.
• Responsible for training and development of employees.
• Job and report audits.
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
• Organize and report test results.
• Perform specialized inspections.
• Instruct and supervise others.
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.

• Heavy industrial, chemical plants, and refineries.
• Sustained physical effort, climbing, kneeling, bending, stooping, wearing PPE, working outdoors, exposure to all inclement types of weather, all in 10-hour shifts days or nights.

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• API 510 & 570 certifications are required. Must be valid and un-expired.
• Must have 5 years of documented API 510 & 570 inspection experience.
• Must possess a working technical background with traditional NDT methods used for pipeline and pressure vessel inspections.
• Must be capable of reviewing, validating, approving and accepting NDT inspection results.
• Must possess extensive report writing experience.
• Demonstrate administrative skills with strong judgment and problem resolution skills and ability.
• Strong verbal skills and ability to effectively communicate with customers and coworkers.
• Must possess a valid TWIC card
• Must be capable of passing a pre-employment drug, alcohol and background screen.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must be capable of passing a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) screen.
