Job PurposeThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Eunice Manor Nursing Home is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to residents in a long‑term care and skilled nursing facility setting. The role involves working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of compassionate care is delivered to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Monitor residents' health status and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of nursing care provided.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide compassionate and empathetic care to residents, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to address any concerns or questions.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain current nursing knowledge and skills.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and facility policies.
- Act as a team player to support the overall functioning and success of the nursing home environment.
Required
Education:
Valid LPN License in Louisiana
Required Experience:- Experience working in a long‑term care or skilled nursing facility
- Demonstrated ability to provide quality care in a fast‑paced environment
- 1+ year of experience in long‑term care, skilled nursing, or geriatric care setting
- Experience in a similar role within a nursing home or healthcare facility
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare staff
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and colleagues
- Exceptional customer service skills to enhance patient satisfaction
- Compassionate care approach to support the well‑being of residents
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle multiple tasks efficiently
