• Long-term locums opportunity with preference for full-time coverage and schedule stability
• Balanced inpatient and outpatient hematology-oncology practice within a COC-accredited program
• Phone-only call model with no after-hours or weekend call-backs onsite
Assignment Details
• Start Date 2/1/2026
• End Date Ongoing
• Coverage Type Scheduled clinical hours plus call
• Practice Settings Inpatient and Outpatient
• Schedule Full-time preferred, 5 shifts per week, 4 weeks per month
• Clinic Hours Patients scheduled 9:00a-12:00p and 1:00p-4:30p with 1-hour lunch
• Patients Per Shift Approximately 12-15
• Guaranteed Hours 8 hours per day
• OT Applies After 8 hours per day with preapproval
• Call Schedule One week out of every three
• Weekday Call Evening phone-only call after clinic hours
• Weekend Call 24-hour phone-only call
• No onsite call-back expected
Clinical Details
• Hematology and medical oncology inpatient and outpatient coverage
• Oncology clinic attached to chemotherapy treatment center and hospital
• COC-accredited cancer program managing approximately 500 analytic cases annually
• Support staff includes RNs, MAs, APPs, and office staff
• No admissions required during after-hours or weekend call
• Read-study rate may be used in pl of OT for up to two hours when approved
Requirements
• Board certified or truly board eligible in Hematology Oncology
• Active California medical license required
• BLS required
• Minimum two years of current hospital-based clinical activity in the specialty
• Two years of recent inpatient experience required for privileges
• Ability to meet privileging and case log requirements
• Clean professional history strongly preferred
