About the Position
Emergency Medicine Physician

Required Skills:

Active California medical license

Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/ABEOM) within 5 years

Minimum of 2 years of current hospital clinical experience in emergency medicine

Proven ability to manage a high-volume emergency department with an average of 110 patients per 24 hours

Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and ability to work efficiently under pressure

Must be willing to work night shifts with an additional incentive of $25 per hour for confirmed night shifts

Ability to explain any gaps exceeding 3 months in employment history

Case logs available for surgical specialties upon request

Nice to Have

Skills:

Additional certifications in advanced trauma or resuscitation

Experience in hospital-based trauma care

Familiarity with hospital electronic health record systems

Bilingual abilities for diverse patient populations

Preferred

Education and Experience:

Medical degree (MD/DO) from an accredited institution

Recent experience in a hospital emergency department setting

Prior locum tenens experience is a plus but not required

Other Requirements:

Availability for 8 guaranteed hours per shift, with overtime available after 12 hours upon medical director approval

Willingness to work night shifts exclusively to qualify for the night shift incentive

Travel reimbursements will not include mileage from home to airport or taxi/ride share from home or destination airport

Reimbursements available for airport parking and pre-approved rental car insurance

Candidates must meet all licensure, certification, and credentialing requirements
