Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and Epic proficiency for a 13-week travel assignment at an acute care hospital in Eureka, CA.
Responsibilities- Work in the Mammography department of a 150-bed acute care hospital
- Procedures include screening and diagnostic mammograms, 3D mammography, stereotactic biopsy, fine needle aspiration, and needle localizations
- Equipment includes Hologic 3D and Hologic Affinity BX systems
- Charting performed in Epic
- 5x8 hour day shifts, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Saturday through Monday block schedule may be accommodated
- Floating to affiliate/sister facilities nearby may be required
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays:
Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's - All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration; post-offer RTO requests are subject to denial
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
- Dark solid color scrubs required for Radiology
- Free parking provided on the first day; assignment parking details provided during orientation
- Pre-start and annual online modules are required and completed on the traveler's own time
- Minimum of 1 year of Mammography experience
- Active BLS, ARRT, and ARRT Advanced certifications required
- Valid CA license required if applicable
- Epic experience required
- Proficiency with 3D mammography, stereotactic biopsy, fine needle aspiration, and needle localizations
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rate — local candidates may be accepted at a different rate
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
