Monitors & coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Medical A Floor – LPN – 8 hours per week

• Unit: 30-bed Medical A floor caring for patients of all ages, many chronically ill requiring multidisciplinary treatment plans and goals.
• Workstyle:
  Flexible and team-oriented, part-time (8 hours per week).
• Expectations:
  Educate patients on procedural/surgical expectations and medications upon discharge.

• Provide direct patient care to all age groups.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care activities.
• Coordinate and communicate patient care with ancillary departments.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and discharge medication instructions.
• Support multidisciplinary treatment teams in achieving patient goals.

• Practical Nursing Degree from an accredited school.
• Current LPN license in our state or obtainable within 90 days.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• IV Certification within one year of employment.
