Nursing Assistant PCU – FT Night

Providence St. Joseph Hospital located at 2700 Dolbeer St, Eureka, CA, is seeking a full‑time nursing assistant to work 12‑hour night shifts in the Progress Care unit.

The Nursing Assistant will work under the supervision of the Assistant Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse, or RN and provide basic patient care to residents of various ages.

Duties include:

• Personal hygiene assistance
• Data collection and observation
• Vital sign measurement
• Intake and output (I/O) monitoring
• Use of equipment
• Activities of daily living (ADL) support
• Documentation on the medical record
• Answering call lights
• Recognizing and responding to emergency situations

• Within 30 days of hire:
  National Provider BLS – American Heart Association certification

• Upon hire:
  Nursing Assistant certification
• Acute care or specialty experience (for other departments)
