Job Description
The Nursing Assistant employs intellectual, interpersonal and technical skills to perform basic patient care. Under the supervision of the Assistant Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse or RN, the Nursing Assistant assists with routine, direct bedside care of patients of various ages as defined by the department scope of service.
- Perform personal hygiene for patients.
- Collect data and observe patients.
- Take vital signs, I&O.
- Operate equipment.
- Assist with activities of daily living.
- Document on the medical record.
- Answer call lights.
- Recognize and respond to emergency situations.
- National Provider BLS from American Heart Association upon hire.
- Nursing Assistant certification upon hire.
- Acute care or specialty experience.
Base pay range: $25.00 - $29.36 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
