Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift available: 3x12-Hour (06:00 - 18:00)

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients, primarily in the Observation Unit, and support those in the ER Hold status. This role involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and effective patient management in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Assess and monitor patients in the Emergency Department
• Administer medications and manage intravenous therapy
• Implement care plans and provide patient education
• Document patient care accurately in the Epic system
• Respond to emergency situations and perform necessary interventions
• Assist in the management of patients with acute mental health conditions
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary support teams for comprehensive patient care

Qualifications:

• 1 year of nursing experience preferred
• Active CA RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications required
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Charge nurse experience is a plus
