American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for a hospital position requiring 2 years of acute care case management experience and a CA RN license.

• Work in the Case Management department of an acute hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating to like units required based on facility need
• Uses Epic charting system

• Active CA RN license (Compact license must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of acute hospital Case Management experience performing care coordination and discharge planning
• Prior travel nursing experience required, though first-time travelers may be considered with clinical manager approval
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with admission criteria, appeals and denials, benefits eligibility, discharge planning, and needs assessment/DME ordering
• Knowledge of CMS, DRG, HIPAA guidelines, and Joint Commission/Core Measures standards
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

• Responsible for care coordination, discharge planning, prior authorizations, and needs assessments
• May float between sister facilities within the same health system as needed
• Local candidates accepted
• Radius rule of 50 miles applies for local candidate rate eligibility
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application, as post-offer requests may not be accommodated
• Located in Eureka, California, near multiple state and national parks including the Redwood Highway
