American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Night Shift NICU position requiring at least 1 year of experience and a valid CA RN license.
Details- Hospital-based Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU II) setting
- Cares for neonates greater than 34 weeks and 29-34 weeks gestational age
- Attends high-risk deliveries
- Provides breastfeeding support and handling of breast milk
- Manages respiratory care including ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
- Performs IV therapy and manages UAC (Umbilical Artery Catheter) and UVC (Umbilical Vein Catheter)
- Utilizes Eat, Sleep, Console approach
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:00 to 06:00
- 13-week assignment length
- Epic EMR preferred
- May be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
- Active CA RN license required, in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of NICU experience required
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- STABLE certification preferred
- Charge experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Must provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years, which may include Charge RNs or Leads
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the facility, though local candidates may be accepted at a lower bill rate
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel employee and must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities, including permanent, travel, or registry/per-diem roles, with location and dates if applicable
- Floating between sister facilities may be required as part of the assignment
