Job Summary Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN)

Not Specified. This role involves providing specialized care to neonatal patients in a Level II NICU setting, primarily managing infants 29 to 34 weeks gestation and above. The position requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes during night shifts.

  Manage neonatal patients within a Level II NICU, handling high-risk deliveries, breastfeeding support, and handling of breast milk. Responsibilities include managing neonates greater than 34 weeks, neonates 29-34 weeks, NICU II, UAC (Umbilical Artery Catheter), UVC (Umbilical Vein Catheter), ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP) within a 12-hour night shift schedule, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  
  Valid nursing license in the state of practice;
  Certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program); at least 2 years of nursing experience including experience with neonatal intensive care; experience with high-risk deliveries, UAC, UVC, ventilator management; proficiency with electronic charting systems, preferably Epic.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Experience working in a Level II NICU setting, high-risk delivery experience, and familiarity with interdisciplinary support services such as respiratory, radiology, and social services.
• Additional Information:
  Candidates may be expected to float between nearby facilities if required. References from the past 3 years demonstrating at least one year of relevant clinical experience are necessary. Candidates must be able to work 12-hour night shifts and commit to a schedule of at least 36 hours per week. Flexibility to work during holidays and weekends according to departmental needs is required.
