American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for an acute hospital setting, requiring at least 2 years of acute care case management experience and a CA RN license.
Requirements- Active CA RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of acute hospital Case Management experience performing care coordination and discharge planning
- Prior travel nursing experience required, though first-time travelers may be considered with clinical manager approval
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with admission criteria, appeals and denials, benefits eligibility, care coordination, discharge planning, needs assessment/DME ordering, and prior authorizations
- Knowledge of CMS, DRG, HIPAA guidelines, and The Joint Commission/Core Measures/National Safety Goals
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Full SSN and DOB required for submission
- Acute hospital Case Management/Utilization Review department
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Required to work every other weekend
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating between like units required based on facility need
- Epic charting system used
- Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, needs assessment, DME ordering, and prior authorizations
- May float between sister facilities near the contracted location as needed
- Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
- Former permanent staff may return after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history with the health system, including permanent, travel, or per-diem roles, with location and dates
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application for consideration
