American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for an acute hospital setting requiring 2 years of acute hospital case management experience and Epic proficiency.
Requirements- Active CA RN license required
- 2 years of acute hospital case management experience performing care coordination and discharge planning
- Epic charting experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required, though first-time travelers may be considered with clinical manager approval
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
- Acute hospital Case Management department
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
- Required to work every other weekend
- Floating between like units required based on need
- Uses Epic charting system
- No on-call responsibilities
- Responsibilities include admission criteria review, care coordination, discharge planning, needs assessment, DME ordering, and prior authorizations
- Knowledge of CMS guidelines, DRG, HIPAA, and Joint Commission standards
- Experience across specialties such as Emergency Department, ICU, Med-Surg, Pediatrics, and SDU/PCU/IMC/Obs preferred
- Local candidates accepted
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel pay rate
- Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application, as post-offer requests may not be accommodated
- May be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
