Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Eureka, CA | Acute Care

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | Weekend availability required to meet staffing needs

• Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients, including a high-risk OB population and a culturally diverse patient base
• Circulate on cesarean sections as part of routine unit responsibilities
• Manage an average daily census of 15–20 patients across an 11-room, 15-bed unit
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility staffing needs, including potential float to nearby sister facilities
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays:
  Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Complete required orientation modules prior to and during the start of assignment; module time is non-billable

• Active California RN license required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission — pending licenses are not accepted
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard terms; locals within 50 miles may be considered at a different rate
• Must submit all RTO and scheduling requests upfront at time of submission; post-submission RTO requests may not be considered or granted
• RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days for the assignment period
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start (Charge RNs and Leads accepted)

• Postpartum nursing experience is preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience is a plus; first-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Experience working with high-risk OB patients and culturally diverse populations

• Opportunity to work in a dynamic Labor and Delivery unit serving a diverse community, including high-risk OB cases and cesarean section support
• Expected schedule of 4x12-hour night shifts per week with a defined assignment structure and clear compliance expectations
