Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Eureka, CA | Acute Care

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit serving a high-risk OB and culturally diverse patient population
• Circulate on cesarean sections as required
• Manage an average daily census of 15–20 patients across an 11-room, 15-bed unit
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility staffing needs, including potential float to nearby sister facilities
• Meet weekend staffing requirements as needed
• Maintain compliance with all required certifications and facility-specific training modules prior to and during orientation

• Active, valid California RN state license required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission — pending licenses are not accepted
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Postpartum experience preferred and will be prioritized
• Willingness to commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays:
  Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered — total RTO requests should not exceed 7 days
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard traveler; candidates within 50 miles may be considered under local terms

• Postpartum nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience working with high-risk OB patients and culturally diverse populations
• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers are also encouraged to apply

• Opportunity to work in a dynamic Labor and Delivery setting caring for a diverse and complex patient population
• Expected schedule of 36 hours per week with consistent night shift hours in a facility that values traveler contributions
