Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Eureka, CA | Acute Care

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:00–18:00) | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit serving a high-risk OB and culturally diverse patient population
• Circulate on cesarean sections as part of routine unit responsibilities
• Support postpartum care as a preferred component of the role
• Manage an average daily census of 15–20 patients across an 11-room, 15-bed unit
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility staffing needs, including potential float to nearby sister facilities
• Meet weekend staffing requirements as needed and commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

• Active California RN license required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission — pending licenses are not accepted
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• BLS certification required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard traveler (locals may be considered under separate terms)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
• RTO requests are limited to no more than 7 days for the duration of the assignment
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start

• Postpartum nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience working with high-risk OB populations
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
