American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a CA RN license and at least 1 year of ER experience.
Details- General Emergency Department serving combined adult/pediatric patients
- STEMI and Stroke Certified facility
- Approximately 135 visits per day with 20 rooms and 26 beds
- Average daily census of 105 patients
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
- Weekend requirement of 3 out of every 6 weekends
- Floating required, including coverage of the Observation Unit for ER Hold patients
- 1:4 patient ratio
- Active CA RN license required in hand at time of submission
- Pending licenses not accepted
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
- Preferred certification: ENPC
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Skills in triage, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and isolation precautions/PPE
- Experience with a wide range of ER presentations including trauma, psychiatric, respiratory, and neurological emergencies
- Provide emergency nursing care across a broad range of adult and pediatric cases including trauma, psychiatric, respiratory, and neurological emergencies
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days and must be submitted upfront
- May only be submitted to one Providence facility at a time
- Former Providence permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period but must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
- Two supervisory references required, covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
- Scrubs may be self-provided but must not include prints
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Travel experience is not required
