Job Type- Full-Time or Part-Time
We are currently seeking applicants for the position of Housekeeping Aide. The Housekeeping Aide performs a variety of general housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain the facility in a sanitary, safe, attractive, and orderly condition for residents, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities- Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and dress code
- Complete assigned daily cleaning schedules
- Maintain a warm, calm, and positive environment throughout the facility
- Participate in required in-service education programs
- Maintain housekeeping carts with adequate supplies to complete assigned duties
- Properly label all chemicals according to SDS requirements and replace worn labels
- Use approved cleaning supplies at correct dilution ratios
- Keep restricted areas locked at all times
- Inspect windows, furniture, fixtures, and equipment for proper operation and report maintenance needs
- Follow all safety rules and procedures
- Practice proper infection control and universal precautions
- Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags as needed
- Report accidents and incidents promptly to the supervisor
- Attend staff meetings as directed
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to make independent decisions when necessary
- Ability to work tactfully with residents, families, visitors, staff, and the public
- Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with others
- Patient, cheerful, and professional demeanor
- Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday
- Ability to manage the mental and emotional demands of the position
- Ability to work independently with flexibility and integrity
- Ability to work with ill, disabled, and emotionally upset individuals
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds
