The Early College Academy program at Aims Community College is a partnership with Greeley School District 6.
The Early College Academy program gives high school students the opportunity to earn a high school diploma while subsequently earning an Associate of Arts degree.
10-15 hours per week.
Job Duties- Conduct individual in-person and remote tutoring sessions for related school work.
- Approach tutoring with a learner-centered focus to increase students’ confidence and success.
- Have strong oral and written skills. Communicate with tutoring supervisor to ensure effective tutoring methodologies. Understand and support the student-teacher relationship.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of tutoring sessions.
- Guide students on how to develop active and independent learning skills.
- Adapt strategies for specific learning differences.
- Attend and participate in regular one-on-one and group training sessions.
- Stay up to date on current trends in tutoring practices.
- Have experience working with a diversity.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the tutoring supervisor.
- Adhere to student and staff policies as determined by Early College Academy.
- BA/BS in related field or certification in related area, or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
- Teaching experience in related content area.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students and colleagues.
- Ability to tutor in multiple subjects.
