Job Description

The faculty member will conduct teaching assignments and co‑curricular college activities in a manner consistent with the philosophy and purpose of the College.
Occasional travel may be required.
Wages
: $1,297.00 per credit to $3,753.00 per credit (subject to enrollment and credit load).
Part‑time employees may receive benefits based on hours worked, including tuition waiver for Aims courses, access to the PERC (college gym) for employee and one guest, Aims discount program, free parking on all campuses, PERA employer benefits, and additional supplemental benefits & retirement programs.
Job Duties- Instruct in‑person private music lessons on instrument of expertise.
- Lead ensembles.
- Assist in program/curriculum evaluation, articulation, revision and development.
- Participate in ongoing professional development.
- Assist with evaluation and selection of textbooks and other resource materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Visual and Performing Arts Department Chair and the Academic Dean.
- Master’s Degree in Music or a Master’s Degree including 18 graduate‑level credit hours in Music.
- Experience teaching at the post‑secondary level.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to motivate students.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive and professional interpersonal relationships with students, faculty, staff, and administration.
- Ability to work as a team member with a genuine spirit of cooperation and flexibility.
- Education at the graduate level applicable to teaching undergraduate music courses.
- Experience teaching music courses at the post‑secondary level.
