Position OverviewStaff Accountant – Responsible for ensuring accurate accounting, supporting audit processes, and contributing to general office functions.
Responsibilities- Inspect account books and accounting systems for efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with accepted accounting procedures.
- Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other reports to assess accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare adjusting journal entries and reconcile differences in accounts.
- Review accounts for discrepancies, detect controls deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed reports on audit findings and present results to management.
- Collaborate with company officials on financial and regulatory matters.
- Examine financial and information systems, recommending controls to ensure reliability and data integrity.
- Interview workers and examine records to verify transaction recording and compliance.
- Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, and commitments to project future revenues and expenses.
- Support general office functions such as ordering supplies, managing events, processing mail, and maintaining workspace organization.

$70,000 – $85,000 per year
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).
- 5+ years of accounting experience with a focus on financial reporting, reconciliations, and audit preparation.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Deltek Costpoint preferred).
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with team members and management.
