American Vintage Home is seeking a recruiter with a talent for building connections and fostering relationships. We are looking for a professional who brings an element of fun to their work, knows the value of thinking outside the box, and excels at building meaningful networks to support our growing team.

This isn’t your typical recruiting role. We are looking for someone who understands that hiring skilled tradespeople requires creativity, trust-building, and strong connections within the community. Whether it's recruiting, retaining, or helping to solve everyday employee issues. You will be the driving force behind our recruitment and employee experience, helping us stand out as an employer of choice in the trades industry.

Location: Evanston, IL - In person

Salary: $75,000-$85,000 annually

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute creative recruitment strategies to attract top tradespeople and office staff when needed.
  • Build strong relationships with local technical schools and community networks.
  • Identify talent through non-traditional methods, such as referrals, networking, and industry events.
  • Foster a welcoming and positive onboarding experience for new employees.
  • Engage with current employees to enhance retention, gather feedback on the employee experience, and strategize retention efforts
  • Champion our company as an Employer of Choice within the trades industry.
  • Adapt to new responsibilities and projects as needed to support company growth.

Requirements:

  • Strong people-first approach with excellent relationship-building skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing needs and responsibilities
  • Proven experience in leadership or project management roles
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a creative, solution-oriented mindset
  • Passion for connecting with others and creating a positive workplace culture
