Assembly Equipment Setup Specialist — Laser Marking, Ink Jet & Press

At Timken Aurora Bearing Company, our Aircraft department needs an Assembly Equipment Setup Specialist who thrives on accountability and craftsmanship while meeting our safety, quality, and productivity standards.

You begin by reviewing work instructions, confirming Lock Out/Tag Out, and tidying your cell. You sign out gauges from Q.A., set them to specification, and prepare for the first-piece run. Throughout the shift you communicate clearly, report anything unusual to your Lead or Supervisor, and keep attendance and punctuality rock solid.

Can you confidently…Configure Presses by selecting/changing dies and pins; swapping stake, stamp, and fit fixtures; installing shims; and dialing in hydraulic pressure and stroke length?

Program Laser Markers by choosing fixtures, plates, rods, spacers, and loading the correct program?

Optimize Ink Jet Systems by changing formats, adjusting track/speed, and switching between rotary or track positions?

Tune Electro Etch operations by selecting pins and pads, setting parameters, and using the correct solution?

Control Ovens by setting and adjusting temperature and timer settings?

Set up Fit, 2pc Swage, and Swage (Spherical Inserts) by changing fixtures, pins, shims, springs, dies, and installing bushings?

Quality, every time

Run the first piece to print, verify fit/center/stake/stamp/markings visually, by touch, or with gauges, make needed adjustments, and complete paperwork to obtain setup approval.

Load parts, cycle equipment, and check at defined intervals; maintain quality characteristics per print through the entire operation.

Move parts to and from your work area and scale as needed; wash parts before running; keep machine fluid levels topped off.

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or equivalent; technical/trade education a plus Mechanical aptitude and strong shop math Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions

Clear communication with co-workers, suppliers, and plant leadership
