Communication Program Manager

Summary of Position:
This position is responsible for assisting in the planning and consistent implementation of the Foundation’s marketing and communication activities. The goal is to strategically communicate and promote the importance of the Foundation’s mission to a broad audience. Responsibilities include developing targeted communication plans, conducting data collection and analysis, creating written materials and press releases, and coordinating deliverables with vendors. The position also supports the Deputy Executive Director (DED) and Executive Director (ED) in developing and implementing new communication programs that enhance the Foundation’s outreach.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Minimum of five years of related professional experience in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment
  • 3-5 years of communications experience
  • Understanding of digital marketing concepts with the ability to manage social media and website content
  • Bachelor’s degree required;
    Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience in a non-profit or academic setting is preferred
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to work with high-level individuals
  • Ability to work independently

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a communication calendar for the Foundation
  • Create and update the DF style guide for communications
  • Assist in managing Dermatology Focus in collaboration with the DED
  • Review, edit, and update the DF website content to ensure accuracy and style compliance
  • Plan and produce the DF E-Newsletter
  • Develop an annual social media plan and maintain the Foundation’s online presence
  • Prepare the Annual Report
  • Support the Executive Director and DED on communication projects, including proposals and Board reports
  • Monitor and track corporate recognition benefits
  • Review key documents and committee materials for quality assurance
  • Manage all event presentations and speeches, such as the Annual Meeting addresses
