Position: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) - Critical Care - Per Diem

Hourly Pay Range

$61.22 - $85.71; hourly pay is based on experience and expertise.

  • Full Time/Part Time:
    Per Diem/Resource with limited benefits
  • Hours:

    Monday‑Friday 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. & 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.; occasional 6:45 a.m. – 6:45 p.m.; rotating weekends and holidays required
  • Required Travel:
    Glenbrook, Highland Park, & Skokie.
  • Hourly Rate Range: $65.00 – $70.00 per hour

The ARNP will be part of our ICU teams at Evanston Hospital with rotations to other sites. Coverage hours vary, including day, evening, weekend & holiday. The candidate will rotate between two sites and be cross‑trained for all ICUs. Candidates with pending IL license and new graduates will be considered.

What you will need
  • Illinois Controlled Substance & DEA License BLS/ACLS
  • Current RN/APN license in the State of Illinois
  • Experienced in critical care patient management mandatory or one‑year critical care residency completed
  • APN Acute Care NP or Adult Gerontology Acute Care NP Board Certification (ACNP or AGACNP) preferred
  • Will consider ANP or FNP with relevant experience & training
  • Education:

    Graduate of an accredited APN Masters (MSN) or Doctorate of Nursing (DNP) Program
  • Cardiovascular experience a plus
What you will do
  • Work with Intensivists & the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive exams, differential diagnosis, and prescribe treatments for the direct management of acute & chronic illness/disease in our ICUs.
  • Work autonomously in interdisciplinary teams, contributing to high quality care while maintaining safety measures with a goal of optimal outcomes and a desirable patient experience.
