Posit i on H i gh li ghts:
- Position: Registered Nurse
- Location: Evanston Hospital
- Full Time/Part Time:
Full Time - Hours: Days- 7:30am-4pm
- Call: N/A
- Required Travel: N/A
- Performed MRI safety checks on cardiac devices, confirmed whether devices were MRI-conditional, and ensured proper device settings before and after scans.
- Monitored patients during MRI exams, placed and troubleshot monitors, and followed all ACLS/AHA emergency steps and escalation procedures.
- Updated patient/device information in the system, obtained recent device checks, ordered chest X-rays, and gathered cardiology or radiology approvals when needed.
- Documented encounters using smart phrases, completed progress notes, routed messages, and closed phone encounters to keep records accurate and up to date.
- Worked with Medtronic, Boston Scientific, St. Jude/Abbott, and Biotronik reps to coordinate device programming, MRI mode activation, troubleshooting, and safe post-exam device reconnection.
- License: IL RN License
- Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of Nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
- Certification: CPR-BLS required (American Heart Association)

Previous experience in nursing highly preferred.
