This is a part-time opportunity designed with flexibility and work-life balance in mind. We offer 8-hour shift scheduling options across first, second, and third shifts, giving you the flexibility to find a schedule that works for you while making a meaningful impact.
Shift & Weekend Differentials: Eligible shifts receive an additional $2/hour for second shift and $4/hour for overnight shifts. An additional $1/hour weekend differential is available for eligible weekend shifts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Follows policies and practices to ensure consistency with current standards promulgated by appropriate local, state, and federal regulatory bodies and within limits of the respective State Nurse Practice Act.
- Is competent in acting in emergency situations based on Safety Manual, Internal and External Emergency Preparedness and other policies.
- Complies with Mather Code of Conduct, Policies, Compliance Program, and all applicable laws and regulations in performance of one’s job duties; reports all known and suspected violations to his/her supervisor or manager, Mather Compliance officer, a Human Resources representative, or the confidential employee helpline.
- Identifies areas for improvement, proposes possible solutions, and participates in data collection and process changes as part of the Quality Assurance Process Improvement process.
- Assesses each resident’s physical, psychosocial, environmental, spiritual, cultural, educational and discharge planning needs, as appropriate.
- Participates in the establishment of desired outcomes with resident, family, and interdisciplinary team.
- Participates in the development of a care plan/service plan.
- Delegates tasks based on resident need and according to knowledge and skill of the designated caregiver.
- Performs personal care for residents, as needed, i.e. toileting, bathing, etc.
- Documents nursing care per documentation policy and standards.
- Applies the concepts of the Mather Wellness Model and the 3 A’s in the care of residents, Achievement, Autonomy, and Affiliation.
- Assists in licensing and survey preparedness and processes.
- Uses a customer-focused approach to problem solving philosophy.
- Maintains a courteous and professional manner through interactions with others.
- Communicates with residents and families in a timely manner.
- Uses discretion in handling confidential information, incorporating all Federal, State and local privacy and confidentiality requirements.
- Provides input for all relevant human resource functions including but not limited to: hiring and retention.
- Participates in resident and family education and counseling.
- Interactions with employees, residents, resident representatives, and guests will reflect our commitment to inclusivity.
