Travel RN - GI​/Endoscopy

American Traveler is hiring an experienced GI Lab RN for a day shift contract requiring documented PACU and telemetry recovery experience.

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of GI Lab RN experience required
• Documented PACU, telemetry, and procedural recovery experience required
• Travel or PRN experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required and must be noted in employment history
• Must pass EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to consideration

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital GI Lab setting
• Responsible for admitting patients and recovering patients in Phase II, with possible participation in the procedure room
• Day shift schedule with varying start times between
• Approximately 36-40 hours per week
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• No on-call requirements
• Possible floating to Highland Park, Skokie, and Evanston GI labs
• Admits and recovers GI Lab patients, with possible involvement in the procedure room
• Day 1 orientation includes EKG testing, training modules, and Epic system testing (approximately 6-8 hours)
• Must pass an on-site EKG test during orientation to continue the assignment
• New graduates will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must have been away for at least 12 months to be considered as a traveler
• RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days for 13-week contracts
