  • Safely operate food and beverage equipment according to operations manual and guidelines.
  • Handle, prepare and serve concession foods according to Illinois Department of Health Food Safety Standards.
  • Process orders and serve food and beverages to customers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized serving and eating area.
  • Monitor shift inventory and resupply accordingly.
  • Follow beginning and end of shift procedures including set-up and breakdown, inventory check,resupply, equipment checks and cleaning.
  • Communicate and administer department policies to concessions employees.
  • Must be 15 years of age (with a valid work permit) or older.
  • Illinois Food Handler’s Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment).
  • Must be willing and able to obtain a CPR & First Aid Certification within 3 months of
    employment.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, at multiple locations, including mornings, days,
    evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:
    • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
    • Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with the public and fellow
      employees.
    • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to read, understand, and apply instructions for the safe and sanitary operation of
      kitchen equipment.

    NATURE OF WORK
    :
    The concessions location supervisor is responsible for the safe and efficient food service at one or more concession stands at Robert Crown, Clark Street Beach, James Park, Arrington Lagoon or South End. Work includes food preparation and service, customer relations, processing cash and/or credit card transactions. Supervisory responsibilities include inventory control, ordering, staff supervision, scheduling and overseeing maintenance and cleaning schedules.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
