Are you a passionate cook ready to make a difference in a vibrant dining environment? Westminster Place is on the lookout for a dynamic Cook to join our team!

In this role, you’ll prepare high-quality food in line with federal, state, and local standards, as well as our own established policies and procedures. Reporting to the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or Director of Dining Service, you’ll ensure that every meal meets our high standards of excellence.

Essential Functions:

• Preparing a variety of dishes from scratch, including accompaniments and garnishes
• Adhering to food safety and quality guidelines
• Working across different dining areas as needed
• Demonstrating a thorough knowledge of preparation techniques for all dining settings

Planning and organizing daily food production to ensure timely service

Maintaining proper portioning, plating, and presentation standards

Operating and maintaining kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

Monitoring inventory levels and assisting with ordering supplies as needed

Ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, equipment, and storage areas

Collaborating with other kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation

Adapting menus and recipes for special dietary requirements or requests

Skills/

Qualifications:

• High School degree or equivalent preferred
• Some cooking experience in a health care setting preferred
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
