Security Officer - Evanston - 3rd Shift

Apex3 Security is a regionally recognized contract security service firm that provides the highest quality customized security programs to world-class commercial, residential and retail properties.

Apex3 Security has relationships with over 35 clients and close to 400 employees. Our specialty is the Chicago and Suburban market, which allows us to provide a close relationship versus global service providers.

• Interacting with residents, visitors and client representatives in a friendly, but professional, manner.
• Providing outstanding customer service to all residents, visitors and client representatives while adhering to company and building policies.
• Ensuring residents and visitors follow access control procedures, according to building policy.
• Ability to write clear, concise and thorough reports, including daily activity and incident.
• Monitoring and recording deliveries according to building policy, including package inventory.
• Coordinating elevators for tenant moves and deliveries.
• Performing assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• Ability to stand/sit/walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in elevators.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis. Ability and willingness to receive cross training on all contracted posts which will assist department and client leadership during an emergency incident.

• Must be at least 20 years of age.
• Must be a high school graduate (GED accepted) and provide us with a copy of your diploma and/or transcripts.
• Must possess an active PERC and 20 Hour Training Certification
• Must pass a stringent pre-employment background investigation (including drug screen), demonstrating a stable work history and/or education.
• Must disclose all criminal convictions and pending charges.
• Must be a cooperative team player with good oral and written communication skills.
• Must be capable of evaluating, investigating and reporting all types of security and law enforcement incidents.
• Must be able to withstand extended periods of walking and standing; restrain violent subjects; make physical arrests; assist in fire fighting.
• Must maintain a working telephone number through which we can contact you.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have no more than 3 violations on your driving record within a 2 year period (if driving a company vehicle is required as part of job duties).
• Must wear our uniform and maintain our high standards for grooming and appearance.
• Must provide a valid PERC, only if you have received one in the past.
