- Complete all required paperwork, trainings, and mandatory Directors meeting before camp starts.
- Read and follow updated policies and procedures; maintain a positive attitude and morale.
- Group supervise campers, ensuring program, health, safety, discipline, cleanliness, and character development.
- Lead and coordinate indoor and outdoor recreational activities (arts & crafts, field trips, games, sports) appropriate to group interests and capabilities.
- Assist new counselors in training and lead them when necessary.
- Communicate any concerns or incidents to the Camp Director or Assistant Directors immediately.
- Maintain equipment and supplies, reporting broken or unsafe items to the directors.
- Provide public‑relations/customer‑service outreach to parents or guardians to create a positive camp image.
- Keep records of program and safety activities as required.
- Perform any other related duties assigned by the Coordinator or Director.
- Minimum age 21 years.
- Strong interest, maturity, and judgment in working with children in an outdoor setting.
- Knowledge and experience in camp‑related activities preferred.
- Team‑player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Responsible, friendly, enthusiastic, patient, and willing to learn.
Work primarily indoors, occasionally outdoors under various weather conditions. Capable of lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly. Must be able to squat, kneel, stand, walk, climb, and maintain balance for extended periods.
